The importance of great audio quality in smart TVs cannot be stressed in today’s tech-savvy society, where entertainment has become a vital part of our everyday lives. The immersive audio experience has emerged as a game-changer with the rapid growth of television technology, revolutionising the way we perceive and enjoy our favourite films, programmes, and games. The days of tinny, lacklustre sound that fails to grab our senses are over. Smart TVs with high-quality audio systems now take us to a world where crystal-clear speech, thundering sound effects, and melodic music combine to provide a genuinely cinematic experience in the comfort of our own homes. This improvement in audio quality has not only improved our viewing experience but has also become an important consideration in the purchase decisions of discriminating consumers looking for a comprehensive and immersive home entertainment experience.

The following are some of System Insights’ top recommendations for smart televisions with excellent sound quality.

Sony XR-75X95K- The Sony XR-75X95K is one of the top smart televisions in terms of audio quality. Overall, it’s a terrific TV with good sound. Its well-balanced sound profile ensures that discourse is clear and understandable. It supports eARC as well as a broader selection of audio formats than the LG, including DTS:X through DTS-HD MA, which is wonderful because it is the most often supported format on UHD Blu-ray movies.

It has excellent image quality, the Sony achieves deep blacks with a Mini LED full array local dimming technology, thus there is more annoying blooming around bright objects. It still looks beautiful, and the bright highlights shine out because to the HDR’s exceptional peak brightness.

LG G1 OLED – LG G1 OLED is an outstanding TV with excellent images and sound quality. It has a very good frequency response and one of the greatest bass responses we’ve measured on a TV, so it has a little of thud and rumble, unlike other TVs. It also gets quite loud, however at maximum volume, there are some compression artefacts. At moderate listening settings, it has a remarkably well-balanced sound profile, so dialogue is clear and simple to comprehend. It also supports eARC, which is useful when connected to a home theatre system or soundbar. It also has excellent image quality because to its OLED panel.

In a dark environment, blacks are absolutely deep and consistent, which is ideal for watching films since there is no irritating blooming or haloing around light objects or subtitles. With HDR content, it can show a broad colour spectrum that appears very rich and alive.

Philips OLED+936- The Philips OLED+936 is part of Philips’ OLED+ series, which means it includes a speaker enclosure created by the famed British hi-fi business Bowers & Wilkins—and it’s been revamped for even greater music performance.

The OLED+936 surely has the right appearance. The speaker enclosure takes design cues from B&W’s critically acclaimed speaker range, with tweeter grilles resembling those developed for B&W’s 800 Series Diamond range—while the bass enclosure is ported to the rear and uses Flowport technology, which Bowers & Wilkins developed for its core loudspeakers. It’s basically a hi-fi system with a TV attached—and an Ambilight TV at that.

Sony XR-55A80K – The Sony XR-55A80K is a stunning OLED TV with cutting-edge picture processing technology and a high-quality OLED screen. 4K detail is razor-sharp, motion and upscaling are flawless, and colours are vibrant and realistic.

However, underneath the screen lies Sony’s Acoustic Surface Audio+ technology, which employs three actuators behind the panel to generate sound by shaking the screen itself, resulting in a large open sound. Two additional actuators on the side increase the breadth, and two woofer drivers provide bass. The Sony A80K is also excellent for gaming, thanks to HDMI 2.1 support (4K 120Hz, VRR, and Auto HDR Tone Mapping on the PS5). It’s an excellent kit, especially if you want to prioritise sound quality.

Sony XR-65A95K- Sony XR-65A95K  is simply outstanding. Sony’s outstanding Cognitive XR processor has teamed up with new Quantum Dot OLED panel technology to provide some of the most stunning pictures we’ve seen from a consumer television.

The A95K also delivers exceptional sound quality, as have other Sony OLED TVs. This is due to Acoustic Surface technology, which allows the TV’s screen to serve as its speakers. Sure, coupling the A95K with one of the top Dolby Atmos soundbars will provide a cinematic experience, but the audio here is remarkable.

The Sony A95K truly checks all the criteria, and it also looks great. This is due to a one-of-a-kind design with a metal stand and a build quality that demonstrates this is a premium TV through and through.

The built-in Fire TV platform is simple to use, and menu navigation is fluid. You can download a variety of applications, and the mic incorporated into the remote provides you access to the Alexa speech assistant capability. It also offers good overall image quality, with deep blacks in dark environments and good peak brightness and reflection control in bright rooms. Although it has been retired, the 50-inch and 65-inch variants are still easily available.

Sony X90J- The Sony X90J is almost everything we could desire in a mid-range 4K LED-LCD TV. Few TVs can compete with it in terms of image quality and feature set for the price, putting it at the top of its class for mid-range models. The X90J, like other Sony TVs, employs Sony’s innovative X-Balanced Speaker to produce crisper sound with less distortion at high levels, and the tweeters serve to extend the TV’s soundstage.

The Sony X90J’s attraction is that it gives everything you need for a spectacular 4K HDR performance at a fair price if you’re seeking for an amazing 4K HDR TV with Dolby Vision and impressive on-board audio.
